The 2026 Worthington Scholarship Application is Closed

The 2027 Worthington Scholarship Application will be accessible from January 1 until April 15. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to receive up to $20,000 towards your college education.

Please note: You will need to upload a copy of your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) as part of our application. For details on how to access this document click here. If you have any questions, please email info@worthingtonscholars.org.

Please note that you must first activate your account via the link sent to your email before you will be able to log in.


Eligibility Requirements

  • SAI of 30,000 or less as determined by the FAFSA
  • Meet our GPA requirement
    • If attending a 4-year college: B- or higher
    • If attending a community college: C- or higher
  • Graduating senior from a WSF partner high school
  • Enroll full-time at a WSF partner college in Fall 2026 (see FAQ below for complete list)

Do I need a copy of my transcript

No, GPA requests will be sent directly to your school counselor.

When is the application due?

April 15, 2026

What if I haven’t decided what college I will be attending?

On the application, please select which college you think you are most likely to attend. If you decide to go to a different college, please email info@worthingtonscholars.org and we will update your application.

I am unable/not eligible to complete the FAFSA. Can I still apply?

No, all applicants are required to complete the FAFSA.

How many Worthington scholarships will be awarded?

Our goal is to award 1,000 scholarships to Maine students.

When will I find out if I am awarded a Worthington Scholarship?

Worthington scholarship recipients will be announced at your high school’s award ceremony or at your graduation, wherever your high school announces awards and scholarships.  

My SAI is over 30,000, but I am appealing. Can I still apply?

Yes, student’s who are appealing their SAI may apply if they believe that their appeal with result in an SAI of 30,000 or less.
